Been a while since I posted anything here.
I have tried some ham at work over the weekend with salad. I didn't mind it at first now I come to dread having my salad at work. I also tried a different sort I think it's called Dry Cured ham. That was nice but had a very salty taste to it... I didn't get much of that meat though both my cats was begging for some. Me being has nice as I am I shared it with them.
Today I came home Mam cooked some Sausages, mash broccoli, turnip, carrots with gravy. I really really didn't like the thought of eating more bloody meat. I didn't say anything at first but I really didn't want the tea at all.
I think something kind of snapped in me to the point I've just about reached my limit with having to do this bloody protein diet business. With the frustration and dreading my meals I ended up crying. I just can't bare the thought of eating any more meat. Going to look at the vegetarian quorn foods tomorrow. I just can't tolerate any more meat at the moment.
Thought I'd take up someone's suggestion at work and buy Vitamin B12 and Vitamin 6 plus something called Evening primrose oil.
I still haven't tried that Mackerel tin of fish yet. Need to pluck up the courage to try it. I figured I don't want to eat meat but will try and eat fish. (if I can)
Hows going vegi going 10 days in?
ReplyDeleteI could never give up meat, not ever.
I have tried evening primrose oil tastes like barf but great for the skin.
10 days in really? I didn't realize that I'd done it that long so far!
ReplyDeleteIt's going really well and am much happier at meal times now. I thought I'd be getting cravings for sausages and bacon by now but I haven't. I've even cooked my first meal from a veggie book I bought the other day and cooked it yesterday. Was really good Dad and Irene tried it too and they loved it.
I cooked a variation of vegetarian bolognese. I screwed up a little when I went shopping and forgot Red Lentils (had to google this since I had no idea what it was) and I have celery which is part of the recipe. So I added courgette and mushrooms to it I loved it and wasn't bad considering I replaced ingredients.
I don't mind taking Evening Primrose oil has long as I drink loads of water asap. The one I don't like is the vitamin tablet that is disgusting. It's that bad if you hold it in your hand you can actually taste it... wish is weird!
I found a way to take it without wanting to gag. Which is rush and take it with a load of water then have a yogurt straight after it, that way I'm not having the awful taste linger in my mouth.
